LIGHT/PLAY - Solo Exhibition at Kiss Kunszt Gallery
This week marks the opening of a new exhibition titled Fény Játék at Kiss Kunszt Gallery. The show explores the relationship between light and color through a painterly approach where the boundaries between observation and emotion remain fluid. The works focus on the transformative power of light, the shifting atmosphere of nature, and the subtle play that arises between the visible scene and the mood it evokes.
The exhibition holds professional significance as well. The opening will be introduced by Blanka Ban, art historian and member of the Hungarian National Gallery team. Her perspective aims to frame the artworks within a broader art historical context, offering visitors a deeper look into how the exhibition connects to traditions of light focused painting, modern visual interpretation, and contemporary artistic conversations.
Several new paintings are included in the selection, presented to the public for the first time. The series captures a range of atmospheres, including plein air scenes, energetic brushwork, and varied color approaches. The creative process behind the works invites viewers to rediscover everyday landscapes and light moments with fresh attention.
The aim of the exhibition is to spark a conversation about the role of light in current visual culture, and how a painting can hold a mood that in reality often lasts only for a brief moment.
